NERFU Members,

On Sunday Mar 29, The USA Rugby Congress voted to ratify the USA Rugby Board of Directors approval to move USA Rugby into Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. While there are a lot of unknowns, we want to assure you that the NERFU Board is staying abreast of the situation and receiving updated information on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. While we fully expect USA Rugby to successfully emerge from bankruptcy thanks in part to World Rugby’s financial backing, we’re also actively working closely with the other 17 GU’s to ensure that NERFU members have the insurance they need to assemble, and that a competitive pathway and structure that reaches outside of NERFU boundaries remains in place.

We know you all may have questions and will be scheduling a town hall-style conference call in the near future to provide additional information and context, and to hear, and hopefully answer any questions that you may have. Please be on the lookout for meeting details, and in the meantime please be safe and stay healthy.
