NERFU League Play Ends/NEC Headed Back to Nationals
Men's D1 Club
Old Blue 84-25 Middlesex
NYAC 28-26 Boston
Match Report Filed by Referee Miles McIvor:
A perfect fall day in Amesbury, MA (low 50s) for a clash between the two unbeaten clubs in the North East. Both sides came out of the gate at 100% which made for some hard hitting, exciting Rugby for the large number of fans that were on hand. Players got a little over-heated in the first 10 minutes, but after a quick chat to the captains, both sides went back to what they do best which is play Rugby.
HALF TIME. NYAC-15 BOSTON-13
The second half read the same as the first, both sides passing the lead back and forth. Bostons #10 was exceptional slotting 4 penaltys and converting both of Bostons trys but at the end of the day NYAC were able to dot down 4 trys while Boston only managed 2. I would have liked to see more open, expansive play in the second half but too much ball slowing and penaltys at the break (by both sides) stifled any continuity. Nevertheless, a thrilling game to be a part of with this matchup of two top class sides. Best of luck to Boston and NYAC and they look to take the North-East D1 title.

New London County 28-45 Seacoast
Wonderful match to referee, player from both sides left everything on the field. Ended regulation at a tied up at 28. In the OT periods, Seacoast took control and pulled away.
Tip of the hat to both sides for such an enjoyable match to referee.
