RE: New Haven RFC Request to Vacate NERFU

NERFU Members,

This notice is to advise you of the proceedings and ultimate decision made by your elected Executive Board regarding New Haven RFC’s request to vacate our Union. Their request was first presented on July 22nd, which forced multiple Division Directors to negate their established schedules pending a final ruling. This decision also involved USA Rugby’s Competitive Region Committee, and other GU governances.

Your NERFU Executive Board ultimately convened via conference call on Tuesday evening (7/28/15), and conducted a formal vote. The results ruled in favor of releasing New Haven RFC from NERFU immediately. This decision will benefit all NERFU clubs in the result of an immediate, formalized schedule for all senior divisions.

This process has also allowed the Executive Board to further assess our Handbook and Bylaws, and will lead to positive and beneficial revisions regarding clubs’ entrance and exit from our Union.

We, the Executive Board, appreciate your continued support, and wish you the best in your upcoming seasons.
