In the other semifinal it was two Mid-Atlantic clubs facing off, with Washington & Lee notching a victory over Belmont University.
In the championship match Salem and Washington & Lee were evenly matched and when the final whistle blew it was Salem State on top by one point (24-23) to win the NSCRO East Coast Challenger Cup Championships.
Salem will now have the winter to prepare for the National Challenge Cup Championships where they will face off against the West, Central and Pacific champions. The semifinals and championship will be held at Founders Field in Pittsburgh, PA on April 23rd and 24th.
